Decency in human behavior is it better now or before?
Greed among family and children and society is it better now or before?

The resolution of the Senate followed its consideration of a report of the Committees on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters and Drugs and Narcotics, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
The Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters presented the report during plenary, Senator Mohammed Monguno (APC-Borno North).
The bill, which passed its third reading, aims to update the list of dangerous drugs, strengthen the operations of the NDLEA, review penalties, and empower the establishment of laboratories.
Section 11 of the current act prescribes that “any person who, without lawful authority; imports, manufactures, produces, processes, plants or grows the drugs popularly known as cocaine, LSD, heroin or any other similar drugs shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for life” was amended to reflect a stiffer penalty of death.
This is how “boda boda” riders in parts of rural DR Congo transport corpse to and from the mortuary. It’s a lucrative business to venture as it pays handsomely well.
A fan commented “So in DRC motorbikes are for carrying dead corpse,,coz I don’t think a normal person can sit in a hearse and use it to go somewhere urgently,, meaning if you to to a place let’s say these short distances you just walk coz motorbikes are for carrying dead people or they are just on stage waiting for someone to die problem is that it’s hard to get daily bread coz people don’t die daily so it doesn’t pay handsomely well since it’s not everyday salary”

Everything in this world bombards us day after day with content that is created hour after hour and keeps us distant and disconnected from reality.
Reels that we watch over and over again maybe to block certain parts of our thoughts that hurt us and we avoid thinking, but… don’t many of those videos or posts continually bring us more and more ideas that in the end increase the problem in those thoughts we are trying to avoid?
Maybe one had certain ideas about a certain topic and suddenly someone comes to put another point of view in our head, and of course it is not wrong because we must be open to different points of view…. the problem comes when hearing someone “popular” say it makes many people hear those words as a truth, a truth that enters those heads and allows a manipulation of their thoughts causing more mental conflicts that take them away from their own identity.
People giving advice on love, life, cooking and a myriad of topics which are often no longer questioned and not analyzed that all content creators just live on clicks, views and likes, and that’s why those contents are not really thought to do good in the minds of people, it is simply to generate a monetary benefit for the one who generates it. Of course, as in everything there are exceptions, but let’s face it, there are only a few.
And well thanks to that now we have millions of people in the world without knowing who they are or who they are, what to think and what not to think, millions of people without a true identity … that at the end of the day that identity is what defines who and what we are.
We always have to remember…the internet is that virtual world where what people expose the least is their reality.
With midterm just around the corner, we are finally ditching the textbooks for a suitcase and escaping to the Netherlands to visit Valters cousin. While we are super excited to finally visit our Duch family and marvel at the colourful sea of blooming tulips, we are also happy because it’s going to be Lily’s very […]
